Pernod Extraits de Plantes d'Absinthe 68% 70cl bottle
The new absinthe from the descendant company of Pernod Fils, the
greatest of the pre-ban producers. Not one of our favourites, but worth
tasting for the historical connection.

Lemercier Amer d'Absinthe 72% 70cl bottle
From a famous Fougerolles distillery, this absinthe has a
pronounced anise character, and, according to the manufacturers, an
unusually high thujone content - around 30mg/l.

Artemisia Clandestine La Bleue 55% 70cl bottle
Absinthe 'Clandestine' is an authentic La Bleue made in Couvet,
Val-de-Travers, Switzerland, the birthplace of absinthe. This
version is modified specifically for the French market, and is
bottled at 55%, rather than the 53% of the regular Swiss version.
Its creator Claude-Alain
Bugnon was the first
clandestine distiller granted
legal status by the Swiss
government in the spring of
2005. His 'Clandestine' has
been and is still considered by
many to be the best Swiss La
Bleue available today.

Versinthe Blanche 57% 50cl bottle
Distilled in Venelles by Liquoristerie de Provence, this, like the
Lemercier above, has a claimed thujone content of 30mg, and so is
sold as an "Amer", rather than an "Extraits de Plantes d'Absinthe".
Crystal clear in colour, it shows that the French "Blanche" style is
quite different to the Swiss "La Bleue".

Combier Blanchette 60% 50cl bottle
"Blanchette", was the original absinthe produced by Distillerie Combier (Saumur) circa 1900. Now revived for Combier by
master distiller Ted Breaux, Blanchette is a Swiss-style, clear absinthe that yields a distinct aroma and flavor of anise and
grande wormwood, with a background of alpine herbs. It's crafted entirely by hand in the antique copper absinthe stills in
the Combier distillery. It was awarded the prestigious "Cuillere d'Or" at the last Pontarlier Absinthiades.
